What Is A Brake Replacement?

A fully working braking system is critical to your safety, to the safety of your passengers and to the safety of other drivers on the street. Your car’s braking mechanism requires highly engineered components and complex motions that avoid your car by translating kinetic energy to thermal energy. When you push the brake pedal, the master cylinder pressurizes a series of hydraulic brake lines running to one of the wheels of the car, where the brake pads or shoes push the disk or drum and produce the necessary pressure to slow the car to a full stop.

Overtime, increased pressure and heat have the ability to cause wear and tear to your brake rotors, brake pads and calipers. Although the component’s of each braking system can differ, the warning signals for imminent replacement of the brakes are the same.

Why You Should Get A Brake Replacement?

Poor brakes display warning signals for imminent replacement of the brakes. For example, if your brakes squeal or grind while in operation, your brake pads can be worn and need replacement. If your vehicle pulls to one side while stopping, it can point to damaged brakes, a malfunctioning caliper, or low brake fluid in the brake lines.

If the brake pedal is pushed too easily — also known as “spongy” brakes — then this could be a sign of too much air in the hydraulic brake pipes.   Long overdue review. George Marji, the owner and auto mechanic, has done work on my car for the past 3 years. He first job on my car was removing and replacing the front brake pads and rotors. He then on a second occasion removed and replaced the defective starter motor. On a third occasion he removed and replaced the defective alternator. On a fourth occasion he removed and replaced the Evaporative Bypass Sensor. On a fifth occasion he removed and replaced the defective Canister Vent Solenoid. On a fifth occasion, he removed and replaced the left and right front coil springs. Only on this occasion, there was a minor issue when he said no alignment would be needed but the car when driving started to pull on one side, meaning alignment would have to be done. Further there as a groaning noise when turning the steering wheel before the replacement and he did not mention that it may be a problem with the strut mount. That required me to pay for the labor once again to remove and replace the defective strut mount on a sixth occasion that could have been done at no extra charge when replacing the springs. On that same occasion, I asked him also to replace a sway bar link. All the work was done professionally, he was polite, communicative, knowledgeable and usually on time. I have referred him to others and will continue to do so and use him in the future for my vehicle repairs.

  I highly recommend this company. Due to illness I was unable to drive my vehicle for 5 months. It remained parked in the underground of my condo and required a new battery. I called TMM and spoke with George who immediately gave me a quote so we arranged an appointment. He showed up on time, changed my battery and even checked my oil.
